The Faculty Induction Programme (Guru Dakshta) for training Faculty & Academic Staff in Central and State Universities, Centrally Funded technical Institutions, and Degree & PG Degree colleges will familiarize them in their roles as freshly inducted university teachers. It will orient them on various generic aspects of teaching learning, instructional methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT enabled teaching learning, and equip them with knowledge of University rules and regulations, basics of governance and administration.

It familiarizes them with curriculum development, teaching-learning methodologies, assessment and evaluation techniques, ICT-enabled teaching-learning, and university rules and regulations, among other areas. For all newly appointed teachers, the Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) is mandatory and must be completed within one year of appointment. The duration of the programme will be 4 weeks.

Assessment & Evaluation: (100 Marks)
Participants will be evaluated on the following parameters:

  • Overall Response
  • Seminars
  • Project/survey/others
  • Micro-teaching/participation
  • Multiple-choice objective tests

Grading and Certification:
A + : 85% and above, A : 70-84%, B : 60-69%, C : 50-59%. (Participants scoring less than 50 marks cannot be issued a certificate as per guidelines. Those Participants have to repeat the course at their own expenditure).

Attendance:
Attendance in all sessions is mandatory. Participants having less than 92% attendance cannot be issued a certificate.

Laptops:
Participants are expected to bring a functional laptop to the programme.
