The Refresher Course in Chemistry that commenced on November 10, 2025 concluded on November 22, 2025 with distribution of certificates to all the participants.
The Two-week Refresher Course saw six Assistant Professors from across the country.
The resource persons included Senior Professors, research scientists, Bhatnagar Awardees, Indian National Science Academy members, editors of prominent journals and from the industry.
Participants were exposed to sessions including Lanthanide-based luminescent materials, biological chemistry, essentials of nanoscience & technology, key to sustainable production of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, quantum chemistry, stereochemistry, introduction to high energy materials, flow chemistry, advancements in perovskite solar cells etc.
Participants demonstrated micro-teaching sessions during the RC. They also visited the School of Chemistry and interacted with professors in their respective labs.
The Refresher Course, inaugurated by Prof. Samar K. Das, Dean, School of Chemistry, was coordinated by Senior Professor Srinivasarao Y.
All the participants who attended the programme said they would recommend MMTTC, UoH for teacher training programmes.
